Well, I guess Ed had the balls to practice what he preached - it's a shame that more people here don't do the same...

Well, Wil, I guess I can't agree with that. While, yes, I would like to see some of the more stupid and confrontational posts removed by their owners, I have to say that unless something is offensive and censored by a moderator or something like that, I can't even guess why someone would leave AND take their posts with them. No one has explained it to my satisfaction, and until I can imagine otherwise, I guess I will just feel odd about it. What Ed was "preaching" in that quote was that if you can't argue in a lively but considerate fashion without becoming personally involved and negative, you should just let things be and step away. He didn't say "and take all you've said thus far with you".

Whatever. Just trying to say I disagree.

Just yesterday I got a FedEx package in the mail from Mr. PUKESPRAY containing 5 (count 'em, five!!!) new CDs of his stuff. I only got to listen to one cut so far, but even from that, I think it's safe to say that EDHORN is alive and well.

Never met the man or heard him play, but he's obviously intelligent, articulate, has a wealth of knowledge, a huge passion for music, and a riotous sense of humour.

He certainly taught more than he learned here.
And, he gave us words like "prolly" and "Kenston Burnsalis".

I was rooting through some of those locked threads reading his posts and I noticed he still has the supporting member star and handle. Is this because they are locked threads and that can't change, or did he actually renew his supporting membership?

or maybe it just hasn't run out yet.

I finally enabled the PM function here on the forum a couple of weeks back, and, lo and behold, my first message was from Ed. Since then, I've had some PC problems and an insanely busy gig schedule, so it's been sporadic since. Sure was nice to hear from him, though.
