Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

People forgot the original list before it became a meme

I basically made this pedal happen

You're welcome, FI users
Yup. You were instrumental in getting this started many years back. I was in right from the beginning as well when I saw your original post pushing the pedal to come to fruition.

That list... LMAO. TB'ers were getting crazy over it. Thats how much the demand was. The great thing about the whole process was how open minded and receptive @Andras Szalay and his team were to our ideas and requests of what we wanted out of the FI. The FI team are true gems. And of course a special thanks to @Quatschmacher for helping to take this pedal to the next level. Good times.

Definitely. It’s an example of the internet as a force for good. I like to keep that in mind when wading through trolling posts elsewhere.

As a precursor to possibly picking this pedal up, I downloaded the FI Editor to my Apple MacBook Pro M1. After installing the editor, I attempted to open it, and got the following message:

Any ideas about this? TIA.

This is very common. If you trust the source, hit open.

Help.

I am an owner and user of the FI however my pedal has malfunctioned and correspondence from PA has failed to resolve the issue.
On the pedal itself the parameters section illuminates a digit per value of each parameter the default being "5".
On my pedal, after Note Level On/Note Level Off, the digit no longer lights up and the values don't operate. To be clear, the digit works for the first two parameters and when the knob is turned furthermore the digit goes dark and stays dark for the entire rotation, until it is returned to the Note On/Off Level.
Recourse: I tried factory reset from the pedal itself following the YouTube instructions provided by a trusted user(thank you), however it didn't have any effect. The pedal remains in the same state.
I also tried the FI 3.6 Update Link and it stays in a state of updating... The light blinking rapidly without concluding it's data transfer.
Resulting in the pedal remaining in the malfunctioned state.
All of this was communicated to PA and no solution was offered. He asked for a video and I sent it and that's were the correspondence ended. I wrote to support to start over without any response.
This is unfortunate because the pedals are on sale and I will buy 3 more because my rig will require 2 to operate and 2 as backup. But if I cannot own 1 and get some support. How can I proceed? There wasn't any poor communication, it just ended. So, I hope he is well, and would pick up my correspondence.
Until then has anyone got the magic solution or am I holding a brick?

They have had occasional server problems which has stopped correspondence getting through. I’ll send an email through to their personal accounts and ask them to take a look.

As regards the update process, what interface are you using? That is often a stumbling block as quite a few cannot handle the large volume of data being sent on the update.

The failure to update is very possibly due to having plugged the in and out cables into the wrong ports. Please don’t feel insulted by this suggestion, I’ve seen this happen time and time again even with experienced MIDI users.

In the meantime, would you mind either uploading the video of the parameter dial problem here or sending it to me via PM.

Understood. Heres the rub. The pedal has a lot to offer out of the box. Leaving the user at a loss of manual knowledge. For in the manual low and behold are precise troubleshooting directions of which my experience was covered. I never read the manual, because of my genetic disposition. And because to he pedal begged me to give it attention.
Long story short.
PROBLEM SOLVED.
Also, I did hear back from two of the pedals Senior men. A shirt correspondence covered all. And I'm heading to the website to buy another pedal after I sell a few things at Guitar Renter. Then I'm back to the lab to marry the pedals to my Morning Star Mc- 6, Voodoo Labs GCP or Skrydstrup Sc-1. I haven't decided yet.
The lessons is always, Don't Panic.
Happy grooving to all.

Yeah, I didn’t write the manual for nothing! :-D

So what was the solution?
