Fuzz that Keeps the Thump

I recently got a Heavy Electronics Grind Fuzz, and I was super excited to get this pedal, but it just doesn't do it for me. It doesn't have the sound I thought it would and it just sucks out all my lows mids and wrecks my tone. Not to deter anyone from buying it; it is pretty versatile, has a lot of gain on tap, cuts well, and plays great with chords and harmonics.

Can anyone recommend some fuzzes that don't suck out the lows mids? I've still got the Idiotbox Dungeon Master in the back of my mind. I hated the Swollen Pickle I played through. Not typically a fan of synthy fuzzes, and I tend to stay away from muffs because I would like my fuzz to cut through the mix well. Trying to keep it at, or below $200.

EDIT: It's probably worth noting that I play an active bass.

I have a Pedal like that. I just run it through My Zoom B3 and Voila problem solved. It then allows me to use really Bassy patches on the Zoom that are otherwise too much. You could also use an EQ to pump some bass & Mids back in. Sorry if that is no help but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I'm actually using a graphic EQ to help get that thumpier sound. Increasing the boost doesn't add enough back

I'd just like to reiterate that I'm not a big fan of muff style fuzzes. I've been looking into colorsound, superfuzzes and others. I don't how I feel about brassmaster style ones
A nice Tonebender would do it! Super fuzzes and Brassmasters might be a little too harsh if you are wanting a good solid bass tone. The problem with the tonebenders is that you would be hard pressed to find a good one in a $200 budget.
