Fuzz w/ Most Low End but No Blend

Yeah I actually just sent JHS pedals an email and it seems like they'd be completely fine with building a Mammoth clone. They can even include a 2-way toggle switch to actively boost whatever bass frequency I need. Sounds like a solid answer to me.

You think it's necessary? I won't be using an active bass with this pedal and I've heard that plenty of people have gone OC-2 -> Mammoth without any problems. I'll have an LS-2 and a GEB-7 in front of it. I'm interested to hear your thoughts and experiences on this.

I'll once again throw in my endorsement of the Digitech PDS-1550. The vintage market doesn't seem to care about this pedal, which is fine with me, since it makes it possible to find them cheap.

If you decide to check one out, make sure to take the bottom plate off and experiment with the DIP switches. One of them, if my memory is correct, engages a bass boost. There should be a piece of cardboard inside the pedal that explains the settings, but if it's missing, the info should be out there on the web.

=O sounds amazing! I wonder if they could add a knob that works like the Stab control on the Fuzz Factory

Yeah I'm pretty excited about the idea really. I'm also pretty sure that the JHS clone with the sub boost and an impedance regulator would be less expensive than a new Zvex Mammoth.

I rearranged my 2 board setup this morning to accommodate some new pedals (Noise Box coming this week and Photron whenever Mario lets me know). I can definitely fit a Mammoth clone and another small pedal (PS-3? delay?) on the PT-2 and I'll just have to run a cable from one my LS-2's on the PT-2 to the Moog on the PT-Jr. Makes setting up slightly more of a pain but a PT-Pro is much harder to pack away than two smaller boards.
