Just got a SansAmp BDD and I am getting a lot of fuzz and buzz out of it when im not playing. Is this normal? Thanks

i have one. mine is fine unless i turn up the presence knob so i usually keep that pretty low with the bass and treble at about half way and drive to my taste that day.
Fuzz or distortion is usually produced when the instrument is playing? You didn't mention how you were using the unit and what your signal chain is. All of our SansAmp products are designed with very low noise. To see if it's the unit turn your bass guitars volume off. If the noise goes away that means your bass is causing the noise and the pedal is merely amplifying it. This could be caused by a multitude of reasons. Passive pickups, being too close to a noise source like a computer, neon lights, line noise RF etc. If there is noise when your bass volume is off there is obviously something else going on. Let us know what happens.
