anybody use a BDPG and a Heliotropic in tandem and if so does it sound better before or after the BDPG?
I have not, but knowing the nature of the BDPG, after would be best.

to me the bdpg does that loud live situation cranked clean tone thing where the input gain just barely distorts but the master volume is cranked so the speakers are starting to break up and you get that wicked growl, only you can get it at any volume and trim off that farty speaker woof out junk with the tone stack.

What are the odds we could get a BDPG with a balanced XLR output?
Zero percent chance, unless someone else mods it afterwards.
Haha fair enough. Can it drive a power amp though?

Tried it through the power amp in on my PF500, worked well, and sounded very good
Any chance of a custom rack mounted version of the BDPG Ryan?
Would be a great idea if/when I upgrade to a higher power rig
Absolutely. We just made a racked Rat Tail for Caleb Scofield from Cave In/Zozobra/Old Man Gloom!
