BDPG seems like it might be climbing to the top in terms of sales... would this be accurate Ryan? Could just be cuz its the pedal I'm most interested in of yours at the moment and keep noticing it in pics on FB and TB and getting hit with mega gas

Yeah, I have to say I prefer the BDPG over the Dark Driving now I have spent some time with both. I like the bottom end boost and harmonic content of the BDPG alot.

First thing I did when I added the DD was mess around with stacked pedal tones :) it is a Fuzzrocious pedal after all! DD into RT into BDPG is fun too!

That said, for my setup, I'm happiest with the BDPG as my always on tone. I've just had a Stache and TAFM arrive and will probably eventually shift the DD. it really is just a flavour thing though - no different than players who immediately go for a Rat type circuit or a Muff type.

Just got done with some intimate bonding time with my BDPG. Dooooooood..... My expectations are exceeded! I was on the fence about this pedal since Ry released it several months ago. tigerbass' demos pushed me into trying it out. So glad I got me one.

Gives my passive P the balls of my active but keeping that passive P flavor. The Grey Stache is hot on it's own, but push it through a BDPG and you shake the foundation with heavy fuzz. The type of fuzz you can feel wrap around you like a heavy wool blanket.

On it's own, the BDPG gives your tone warmth and heavy feeling. Pretty much anything you push through it regains the lost bottom end. Not sure if other's have had the same experience with their set up as I have, but I'm super stoked on this thing. More to come. I want to try and put a few videos on youtube with it. Hopefully my weekend will allow it.

For me, I'd be looking at this pedal as a preamp stompbox type deal, to replace my BDDI. I do love my BDDI, AND the way it makes my rat tail sound, but the way you dudes talk about the BDPG makes me VERY. CURIOUS/KEEN.

How does it go "fattening" up tone? Thats the primary reason why i love the sansamp, using a solid state head atm (ampeg PF500 thru Ampeg 6x10) so the tube emulation it gives me is kinda great.

I have to agree with P_F_D. I use a Ben Lindsey 57pbass and it really seems to love the passive precision tone. I use a solid state Tecamp head and a Glockenklang 2x12. BDPG controls are Pre-gain, volume and Tone. You use the pre-gain to set grind and the tone knob offers huge dub vibes if you want them. It really excels in getting fat, room rattling tone. Thickness on tap for a solid state rig but it's different to tube emulation to my ears. Ive owned a VT, Dave Hall Amps VT1EQ and now use an EBS Valvedrive. The BDPG is fat but it remains more clarity than tube emulators as it doesn't add dirt across all frequencies. Its less tubey sounding but seems to get closer to the feel of a big cleanish tube rig at times. Not sure if that makes sense but that's my experience.

When I contacted Ry to get mine, I sort of explained that I wanted a dark sounding alter ego to my Rusty Box. I mentioned that the Rusty adds pepper to my pbass which is cool but I wanted something that added beef. Ry recommended the BDPG and he was spot on. I've realized since I got it that I immediately gel with pedals that boost low end and create that 3D feel.

Don't worry. You can't go wrong with it. Even if you hate it (which you won't), you can flip it fast in the classifieds. Fuzzrocious sells quick, and for good reason. Lot's of hype with great pedals to back it up! I plan to put a few videos up on youtube over the weekend. Maybe they will capture the essence of what we are trying to describe.

Maybe tigerbass can throw up a quick soundcloud of BDPG off tone vs BDPG on tone? I sold my computer interface, so I don't have a way to do that at the moment.

... and the BDPG won't have the "character" your BDDI has, but it certainly has the warmth and low end response.

2nd day with the GS and I'm seriously impressed with the sounds I'm getting. The fuzz is immense, thick-impolite-biting fuzz. Love it, well done Ry :bassist:

Cant wait to pair this up with the BDPG!

I need to let you guys write my pedal descriptions...you guys nail what the pedals really sound like perfectly.

The BDPG is definitely not rocking any boats on sales right now. In reality sales are not that great at all. There's probably more resale on all of our pedals right now than anything. We're in a weird limbo right now: not ready to go into distribution and not selling too little to call it quits. We're right in the middle. I'd love to roll this up to the point where I can quit my job and do pedals full time, but I'm not convinced it's a sure thing yet. Keeping posi and trying to get through these pending orders and store orders to see if we can up our production. Thank you to you guys who continue to support us directly! It means SO much!!!

I recorded something for my new band/project with Rat Tail into BDPG direct and it's CRUSHING. I'll try it post it ASAP!

Grey Stache with oscillation landed here last week. Brought it to band practice and WOW ! I wonder how I've been living so long without it. It sounds awesome with the RT, or without it as well. The mid knob is just killer to cut through the mix, and I loooooove playing with the sustain while oscillating. Perfect for my noise/psyche band ! Can't wait to play live with this beast !

That's it. I can't stand it anymore. I'm going to order a BDPG with my soon-to-be OSD order. I almost have all the funds together. :bassist:

Do any of you BDPG users run any octavers, of any kind, into it? I'm a big whammy user and my guitarist loves the oct-down stuff. I personally think it sounds like crap because the lower frequencies sent into dirt pedals = awful digital sound. I've tried running the dirt before the bass whammy, too. It was equally disgusting. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would probably be running the BDPG at the end of my chain. I'm interested in seeing how it handles octave stuff.

Sounds good with my micro POG, which is also a digital.
Then again, I haven't found anything that makes digital octavers sound less digital.

Yeah, I always use the word digital to describe it. But, it really just turns your sound into a terrible mush with octave-down. All other settings sound fine.

I just avoid it usually. I know some guys make it work. Brian Cook runs his whammy in oct-down with great results.

Here is a couple real quick demos I did a little while back.
This 1st one focuses more on the cleaner side of the BDPG.

once I purge my non fuzzrocious dirt I may be adding 3 more pedals to my order for that OSD RT GS monster
