Early thoughts: I'm the kind of guy who will always say "hey, whurr's the blend knob" when there isn't one... but that's really for pedals where the circuit is problematic for the low end. This seems (downstairs neighbor likes playing dancehall music at the same late hour I like to practice, so it's a filtered perception) to do quite well with low end.
The Gain seems to interact less with my 6's low B string, meaning it actually brings a smoother response than most drives (most of them really getting slammed by the low B string). I'm learning my way around the interaction between the two stages, and am pleased to find Gain at max (or dialed down for really subtle & nice coloration!), Drive at min yields a pretty tubey bit of hair. This could pair really nicely with, say, a Barber Linden EQ to get even deeper into that cave.
And the wild side is just plain fun. My 6'er is pretty tame on output, but transforms into a howling creature when I crank the drive. Gotta explore that more!
Am I right in hearing that enabling the Gate switch maxes out Gain, leaving Drive as the gate threshold? I can work with that.
