Posted my G&L ASAT bass (probably 5-10 years old in excellent condition) on Craigslist. Got an offer for a straight up trade for a 2013 Gibson EB4 in excellent condition. He wants the active electronics in the G&L and I don't like to neck heavy feel in the G&L. Don't know much about the Gibson. I don't play professionally, just at church. Any feedback on this trade offer would be appreciated.

I don't think the Gibson is that popular, but some people seem to love them. I believe they have coil splitting on the pickups so you should get a good range of tones.
Just my opinion, but the EB4 or EB13 (or whatever you want to call it) is the best sounding, most versatile long scale bass Gibson has ever made. It can hold it's own with any Fender or G&L.
