They work great on my L-2000 and L-1000 as well as my '73 P bass and Skyline DJ. And they don't cost a fortune.

I believe DA XL170 are current issue from the factory.
Been a while since I had a new G&L, but I think they haven't used SIT for some time.
SIT are a good string though, and Reverend used them for their factory install.

FWIW, I think the DA's last longer, for me.
