G&L Club Part 3

Purple isn't normally my "thing" but I wouldn't hesitate to gig that bass. I'd say I came to about a 6 outta 10 on the GAS-O-Meter when I first saw the listing. I've sold my Pedulla 5s and would love to have a G&L 5 around, but other factors kept me from checking it out myself.

What are your tonal impressions of it? I've had 3 L2Ks and an old SB-1, but haven't played your model. (Seems to be a rare bird for G&L.)

The only negative is the 16mm string spacing but I'm getting used to that. I am glad you did not get it.;)

It is huge, the tone is monstrous. The B is especially big. It is less aggressive than my L1505 but bigger with deeper lows and fuller mids than my L2K. The L2k is a tad brighter and cleaner. I would classify it as a 5 string P-Bass on steroids and growth hormones.

Talked myself into this purchase earlier today....Damn happy I did!! :)
Just bought this puppy from an online G&L Dealer.
2010 G&L L-2000 Butterscotch Blonde Bass Guitar with Birds-eye Maple fretboard & Tinted gun oil neck.
I am a total sucker for Birdseye maple!
And have wanted a butterscotch Blonde L-2000 for some time now.
Just happened across one that they ordered with the special Birdseye fretboard!
AND got a great discounted price from an amazing G&L dealer :D
Should have it mid week next week, will snap more pics then of her.

Here is a quick shot of my L-2000 Cherryburst/Rosewood and my L-2500 Red Sparkle/Maple taken in my dark bedroom with very little light (that's my wife under the sheets)

Too kind brotha...Have not heard of guitar shots called "Glamour" shots before....But I guess sometimes a good shot of a sweet bass could be portrayed as a "Glamour" shot....
Might have to put a bikini on this butterscotch blonde to REALLY make it a "Glamour" shot eh? LOL :D
