Tribby and 93 L2K fretless. :D

I'll take better pics once the friggin' sun makes it's semi-annual appearance in Portland. :(

Looks like 93 is a good year for you!
I am still kicking myself for not picking up the L-2000 lined fret less that was on the for sale side for $750.00

Not to forget the *BRAND NEW G&L LINED FRETLESS SB-2 IN CLEAR BLUE NEVER USED IN THE ORIGINAL BOX!!!!*
Mrfstop had now that was a killer bass but buying my new beach house dampened my bass fund just at the wrong time, but there will be more! If he thought the SB-2 was cool wait till he gets the L-2000!

Man I WISH I could have just kept this one...it was so tricked out ....Nytro special ordered it from G&L loaded to the gills with options and upgrades...
Now that i know more about G&L's....I am a dumb azz for letting it go for $950 shipped....duhhhhh.....
But needed the money to put towards the MM stingray classic with flamed maple neck and board...
HAHAHAH!! the tangled web we bass playing GAS-aholics weave eh?

Oh well...it is now making some TB'er in California a happy camper...so all is cool...
Now onto the New L-2000 Hot blondie that's arriving next week :) :bassist:

Well boys,
It's been a few weeks since the completion of the Kmods to my 2500. I must say that I'm blowen away buy the sound of single coil. I have not played my other two basses other than to keep them in tune.
My heart felt thanks again go out to all in the G&L club who supplied me with information and links to get this done. Thanks also come from Dick's Music Shop in Green Bay Wi(920-499-1125) my G&L dealer where I had the mod's done. He has been a G&L dealer since 1983 and turned my on to G&L back then. He was not aware this mod could be done, so he thanks you as well!

Peace & Love!

I had the opportunity to try a Hartke 3500 amp which I overhauled for a friend, through my two Aguilar DB212 cabinets. I tried the L-1000 through this combination and it just slays. I am not quite as much impressed with the L-1000 through my Ampeg V4BH. I wonder why that is. Then again, my Telecaster basses sound great through the Ampeg, but the Hartke sound was mediocre at best with my 1974 Tele Bass. Strange stuff, putting the whole signal chain together.

Sitting here staring at the front door waiting for the UPS guy to pull up with the new Butterscotch Blonde :hyper:
This must be how our dog feels every day waiting for us to come home from work....hahaha!! :)
Looking forward to test driving this baybeee.
Fingers and eyeballs firmly crossed the shipping gods were kind to her...

Welp my new blonde arrived safely on the UPS truck this afternoon.
Gotta say, Man O man....I have been missing the boat by not buying one of these G&L L-2000's a long time ago!
This is one helluva bass!
Super well made..and balls from NY to Texas!
Great tonal selection, LOVE IT!
Have only had it in my hands for a few hours and already am thinking of which EBMM Stingray to let go of, in order to pick up another one of these L-2000's.
Something in a funky color maybe....with a matching headstock.
Really like the Spanish Copper Metallic color!
Most likely in an ebony or rosewood fretboard to differ from the bright birdseye maple board on this one. Would want the 2nd L-2000 to produce a slightly warmer vibe via the warmer fingerboard wood.

Ebony is brighter than maple. Beautiful new bass!
