I never think to look on CL. I'm holding off on one I found thats new, trying to figure out how I'd special order one and how much it would cost in comparison, yadda yadda.

I've got a fretted Kilo, and no fretless.
But a fretless kilo is damn tempting.

OK so give me a reason to get up off the sofa, toss another log on the fire & hunt down a measuring tape.

center of the 12'th fret to the leading edge of the front PU: 10 & 13/16"
To back edge of front pu: 12 & 3/8"

Ok I just realized I measured the wrong pu.

12th fret to leading edge of bridge p/u: 13 & 5/8"
Rear edge of bridge p/u: 15 & 1/4"

FWIW - this is from an '82 L2000.

Some 3-4 months ago there was a black burst fretless Kiloton 5 on Reverb. I wasn't in a position to part with 2k. looked really nice.

Yeah man, your CL has a cheaper kiloton fl than the one I'm looking at.

honestly - I don't know, but there a couple of folks on this thread who had internal involvement with G&L who might be able answer that.

I figured I'd toss that (year info) out there in case it did make a difference though. But looking at dedpool1052's pic - looking pretty close to the same.

I friggin' love this bass. Best neck ever and super fun to play. I run LaBella flats on in and stay in Series. With no effects I get a nice upright sound. But this also takes effects really well.

If I had to keep only 2 of my basses, it would be my JB and this one.
