G&L L2000 Output Jack Wiring?

I'm in the process of building a 32" scale bass for a friend with L2000 electronics. The schematic I have shows an output jack with three terminals. The one G&L supplied only has two terminals. Can I use the one I have or do I need to get a three-terminal jack? Since the cable connecting the bass to the amp only has two conductors I'm assuming I should be able to use the one I have. Are the top and bottom lug in the schematic both going to the case? The bottom lug on my output jack is the case with the center lug the tip of the 1/4" phone jack that connects to it. Any help appreciated?

So it looks like I purchased the wrong jack! G&L shows a mono, a stereo, and a tribute output jack. I'd guess I need the stereo jack. Obviously, the ground would go to the pot ground. Which wire goes to the tip and which goes to the ring? Black wire from the 9v to the ring? Other wire from the tip to the 6 post switch?
