+1 for wood binding for sure. I like it! I was under the impression that GNT neck finishes were no longer an option, and that vintage tint was it's replacement. Further, G&L does not recommend using Vintage tint with wood binding because it's hard to match. I really think I'll go with the light tint gloss neck with wood binding. Still thinking about the matched headstock option. Anyone else have thoughts on that? Yay or Nay?
I believe you are correct that the GNT is no longer being offered, and the VT replaced it.
IMO, body binding looks especially good when it contrasts enough with the body finish to be noticed. On some body finishes the binding "blends in" visually and is not easily seen.
I've owned G&L's with matched headstock and non-matched. Honestly I do not have a strong preference, though the MHS does add a level of visual refinement if that is important to you.
