G&L Order Placed...the Waiting Begins!

Huh. Have you posted in the Luthiers Corner, or in the Pickups Forum about this? Might find someone with that same experience.

I've had pickups go bad before, open coil, shorted coil, but not one that behaved like yours.

I'd be tempted to pull the pickup out, have a look for anything askew underneath. Just for curiosity's sake.

I'll probably post. I don't care any more as far as this bass is concerned but I'm curious more than anything.

I just got an email from G&L telling me that the bass is done, except for them putting on the strings I requested (I sent them flats) and setting it up. It should be ready to go Monday at the latest. First I have to send the old bass back though, which I'll do tomorrow.

I'm in shock. It's been TWO WEEKS. The first bass and the replacement neck both two 3 months. It just goes to show they can crank something out when they feel they have to. I was told they're going to go over everything twice to make sure it plays and the electronics function like it's supposed to.

They posted it on Facebook. Again, it's Old School Tobacco Sunburst over Ash, Quartersawn Maple with a Light Tint Satin and Deleted Face Dots. The green bass was nice, but this makes me want to hump my monitor.

The replacement bass is here! I'm going to make a new thread when I can get some decent pictures tomorrow, but I wanted to say something quick here.

The new bass is perfect. Exactly what I expected. I'll go into more details tomorrow and supply a link to that thread here.

It's over....it's finally over....
