Double Bass G string recommendation for EUB

I'm having some issues on the G string of my BSX EUB, and I can't tell whether it's the pickup or the string itself or some combination. I'd like to try out a new G string to see if it solves the problem, which is that the G string sounds super thin and just a bit wonky. Right now it has Helicore Hybrids, which are the original strings although they've been on and off several times. Since I'm most likely selling the bass whenever I figure this out, I don't want to spend a whole lot on a string, and I also would like to try a string that doesn't have a long break-in period since I'm not planning on playing this bass much. I was going to just get a new Helicore but something else is probably better.

So, any recommendations for a G string that is warm, with a quick or non-existent break-in period, and not too expensive? Would happily get a used string but I didn't see any in the classifieds that seemed right. Thanks all!

On my MK EUB I've had good results with Helicore Orchestal Light gauge. They didn't feel too dampened and on my bass had also some nice growl on the lower strings. The G string wasn't that whiny from the get-go (like Spiros, for example) and had the right amount of sustain and low end.

Are you looking for just Pizz or Arco also? I had a set of Zyex on my Stagg EUB and really liked the sound for Pizz, but they didn’t bow well at all so I put different strings on.
