Title basically says it all. I am going to place the receiver at the front of my pedalboard and then have a cable going from my pedalboard to my amp. I was originally thinking of the G50 because of the metal enclosure, but realized the EQ pedal will be between my POG2 and wireless receiver, and I never turn off my EQ so there probably isnt much risk of me stepping on it. Just curious though, is it really worth it to shell out the extra cash for the G50 or is the G30 going to be fine. Keep in mind I am not playing stadiums, just local shows.

G50 or G30?

While I haven't used the G30, I am more than happy with my G50 and run it on my board as well. I'm still a little worried about the antennae getting damaged if I get a little too excited on stage, but hopefully that won't come to pass 
. If you're not any crazier on stage than I am, I wouldn't doubt that the G30 would durable enough for you.

Been using a G30 for about 4 months with no real problems. The signal cuts off for a split second, occasionally, but that depends on the venue (I'm assuming it's some kind of interference). If you're careful with your gear, the G30 should work just fine.
G30 user here for the past 13 months. Have put over 100 gigs on it and not a single problem. Tremendous range, no discernable sound degradation, very durable and I can get about two 4-hour shows out of a pair of AA batteries.

A quick tip here - go to Home Depot or some similar place, and pick up a couple of u-shaped drawer handles, and attach them to your pedalboard, one on one side of your receiver, the other on the bottom. Make sure they're taller than the receiver. What this does is protects your receiver in case you should accidentally step in that direction. I've got the Line 6 X2 receiver on the far right side of my board, and although I've never stepped in that direction yet, it's nice to know it's protected in case I do. 
G30 user here. Been using this on an almost daily basis for about 1-1/2 years. Never given me an ounce of trouble.
Tip: Been using rechargeable batteries in mine. Haven't bought AA batteries for over a year. One set easily lasts a 3 set gig.

I have the G30, and it works great. My clip broke off after about 2 years, but that's 2 years of 5 nights a week. Probably worth the extra coin to get the metal bodied G50, but the G30 functions just fine.
G50 and Shure WA304 cable and possibly some Eneloop AA's with charger.
I mounted the receiver with zip ties but YMMV.

Thanks for all the input guys, I am currently rebuilding my pedalboard so that it will fit all my needs onto it. My plan is to have the receiver on my board going into my EQ which i never step on and then into my POG2. I've never had a good wireless system, and would really like to make sure I get one I won't regret in a few months. I have been looking at these two for quite some time. I have no problem getting the G50 over the G30, but only if it is worth it.
Have the G30 about 6 months now and love it. Never had an issue with it sitting at the top right on my board. Also you can use any 1/4" cable with the xmitter.
