I ended up finding a set of Canadian Dingwall knobs locally for sale at a great bargain, with the brass inserts installed they look great!

Outside of that I'm still in the preamp search, I might place an order next week once funds come in for the lusithand nfp dual filter.

It's the one I'm most leaning towards for its layout with the treble control, push/pull pots and price point (on eBay in finding a NFP filter around $380 CAD adding shipping, there is someone on tb classifieds selling theirs but their ad states shipping to CONUs only so no dice.) While the modularity and size of the underhill was enticing it's currently the most expensive option for me.

Based on demos I've heard on YouTube in various configs, I've liked the sound of the dual NFP the most while the Jtex is a close second. I'm still considering the Jtex if there's a way to get a similar control on the filters via push/pull, as Im trying to still stay to the 5 hole configuration without drilling for more.

Maybe later on if I end up liking the filter route I'll get a Jtex to convert my dual P Goya bass to a dual filter+LFC insanity. Ill still look locally for any preamps people are selling in case a regular 3-4 band with sweepable mids draws my attention.

Just got mine a few days ago. My first 5 string and first multiscale. Big change coming from an Ibanez SR400. Loving it so far! Mine came in at 7lbs 12oz. Painted my pickguard lime green, because green is awesome. The fit for the pickguard is pretty tight without paint. With paint, I do not need anything to keep it in place. At some point, I plan to take a bunch of measurements and post them up for people that Google it (like I did).

Congrats! Looks like you got the new set of pickups as the poles aren't exposed anymore. I wasn't a bit fan of the old ones so I wonder how different the new ones are. Any noise from the pickups? I had issues with the previous batch.

No noise at all, they sound pretty good. Coming from powerspan pickups in my SR400, these sound way better!

I ended up doing a bit more mods than expected! I added in the dingwall pickups but ended up going for the lusithand double nfp preamp, which I really like

I ended up going my with luthier's rec of replacing the barrel jack with a regular 1/4" plate, it turned out really well especially great avoiding any issues down the line with the barrel jack all together. As well as relocating the strap buttons to my liking, I also got a set of neckillusion stickers in their iridescent abalone finish. They really look sweet!

I did have to email their customer service to make sure they fit right, they sent me two sets of stickers, ones that covered the exisitng inlay dots and another set that don't.

I have some issues with the setup. Neck relief is 0,38 mm at the 7th fret (with first fret capoed and 24th held donw on the B string). Cant really get the action lower than 3 mm on the low B (at 12th fret) without getting anoying buzzes at the first frets. Any advice here? I tried to play around with relief and string heigth, but cannot get a nice lower action. Tuning is B standard.

Shim the neck. I had to do it to mine.
