Scored a used 700RB-ii on EBay. Waiting for it to ship now. I'm going to pair it with my 212 MBE-II cabinet. I'll now plan on getting a 112 to pair with my MB200.

The 700rb is just what I was looking for. Could be a permanent cure for GAS.

Well, I'm going to have to buy new casters and the housing they go in. My Neo 410 casters have, for the second time, fallen through. I put some after market casters in about a year ago and I believe they were either to thin or too long. The thing is, I'm not too crazy about the casters that come with the Neo cabs. I wanted a wheel they is hard rubber. Can anyone suggest a set that fit into the Neo 410 and won't route out the holes in the cab and sit in there solidly for a long time??

Just tweaked my EQ again. A slight change, but definitely a noticeable one. Bass went from 1 to 2 o'clock. Went from slightly anemic with punchy mids, to nice and bassy with punchy mids. Easy and a great sound. Here's my current EQ on my GKs (minor adjustments for amps, but mostly just slightly less bass on my MB200).

Low Mids 2
Bass 2
Contour Off/All the way CCW
Presence 10
Woofer Max
Tweeter 10

I find pop out castors a little weak…. I went a different route

I use the slide in mounts (like Mesa Boogie uses) and the 4" swivels… ( the 5" are nice too&#8230 it takes a little trimming of the corner protector to get it mounted close to the edge for stability… I ues T nuts to mount rather than wood screws

Picked up a new Rig this week - Was never a fan of the 12's but these are just amazing compared to the 12's from just 5-6 years ago, they are clear , punchy, with a wide tonal range. Well see today how it does against two full stacks and an extremely loud drummer.

I went with larger 3" casters from Caster City; they roll much better and handle a heavier load than the originals: 3" Stem Caster - Red/Gray Polyurethane Wheel - Model L3; Product Code: L3RG3X.

Note the grip ring stem is 7/16 x 1-3/8 and not 3/8 x 1-3/8 like the original GK casters, so you'll also need the stem inserts. I found it easier to locate casters with 7/16 stems than 3/8, and there are more options available in this size as well. (It is a common mistake, using 7/16 caster stems with the original 3/8 inserts. They almost fit, but the grip ring won't make it all the way in, so the casters sit about 1" outside the inserts and are not held by the grip ring. Looks goofy and isn't secure. And yes, we do anticipate your big stem troubles to be recounted in response.)

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I like the idea of those slide insert casters. It makes the problem I had almost obsolete. But it's going to cost me about $60 to $75 with shipping. Wowy. I'll have to tuck that onto my GAS lost for later.

Yeah… but if you plan on keeping the Cabs for awhile…. I had mine for 8 years… so, yes, it's an investment, but a worthwhile one….(during load out on grass the 5" will be especially appreciated&#8230

I replaced the GK castors twice before I made the up grade…. never looked back…...

Guys, Is it normal to have 1001rb to make light sound and slight quick woofer movement when turning off? Just a little paranoid.....

I've had a number of GK amps do that when I turned them off.

Yup.
Probably does it when you turn it on too.
I always make sure to hit the mute button on the head before turning the amp off.
And that the mute button is engaged before turning the amp on.
It doesn't stop the pop, but it makes me feel better about it.

My MB500 makes the speaker move during power up and shut down, even when the mute is on.. I think it is a transient in the amp module.

Even when I turn down all volume I hear it.....Well, sounds like it's normal!
