Basically the same thing. The BL600 is just a Chinese-made (or sometimes US made, as I was recently made aware!) 400-RB, but with the distortion channel from the 2001RB. Both are great heads. I actually traded in my BL600 to get a 400RB!

I can understand you being frustrated, resistors don't usually just go bad on their own. Something else causes them to overheat. The fuse holder should be cleanup work AFTER the unit is made functional, not as a matter of diagnostics. I'm not giving you a hard time by the way, this shop has not earned any confidence in my book so far. If this is the old horizontal power switch unit the switching IC for the boost circuit if failed would cause signal loss. This IC is on the preamp board and is obsolete so a work around would be required.

I don't think you are giving me a hard time. I appreciate your comments,and help. This 800,is a newer one,with the vertical power switch. I think that is what they are doing,is the work around situation,they have had with the amp. I don't think that is too much to get a 800 restored myself. Got it pretty reasonable. Thanks,B-string.

Update on my 700RB. Emailed Sweetwater to see what was going on. They have had my amp since July 20th, so we are just over the 4 week mark. Last I heard (Aug 03) They had ordered a power amp for it. Here we are Aug 24th and no update. I sent them an email and received a quick response. They are now waiting for a main PCB board so basically they have replaced everything inside the amp. No idea what caused the issue. I dont abuse my gear, Its never left our rehearsal space, It never saw a clip light and I run a HPF with it. I would really like my amp back.

Sounds like poor diagnostics at Sweetwater's contracted shop. Replacing symptoms until you are left with the cause.

It seems that MB410's and 410MBP's are discontinued before I bought extension to my combo https://www.gallien-krueger.com/mb-combos/ https://www.gallien-krueger.com/mbp-cabinets/ They are still in shops in US but in Europe I found one in Crovatia and one in Italy. So if someone wants to buy one better get hurry :)

Edit: Well there are still sites of them on GK website but you have to hack the URL to get to them. Although 410 MBP has some random stuff in description, so I don't know.

Indeed it is. As mentioned, it is a Chinese-made 400RB, and that's directly from Mr. Gallien. The 2001RB's distortion channel is the second channel of the BL600, minus the shaping controls. Something most folks don't know about the head when dismissing it as a Chinese-made GK, is that GK owned the plant, set it up precisely as the US plant, including the torture rack. The amps sent to the US from China were then re-opened, re-tortured, and re-verified.

So if you have one, it's passed QC not once, but twice.

I recently had to reawaken an old dog to pair up with my recently-acquired NEO115 while my MB500 was in the shop. Sure, I could have used one of my combos but felt compelled to join together components that are 50 years apart in age. Guitarist told me I was "too loud!" (??) I wasn't even using all 50 watts compared to his dual Peavey 35-watt ers. (I guess he couldn't take being dominated.) Just thought I'd share.

I've been using an 07' BL600 (purchased new with the scribble writing) to date, and have had zero problems with this nice, inexpensive amp throughout the years, but lately it's been a bit slower to turn on, and I'm hearing a slight hum. I've been wanting to get an RB400 for years now, but I can't justify a new amp until the old one fries out completely so when, oh when will it die ....... ever!

Hey ya'll! May I join? Here a pic of my fusion 800 head going through a genz benz uber 2x12 cab, and my brubaker custom 5 string. This has been my 2nd replacement from sweetwater (3rd total). The first one's gain B setting wouldn't change when pressingthe knob. The 2nd one's input jack started buzzing after 30 days. So far this one is working. Other than that, the gk tone gives me what I've been looking for. Any one else have any issues with the fusion 800?

If you take it to a tech and address the issues now, it likely won't die, and end up in a landfill someplace. Plus, your tech probably won't cost you as much as a new amp.
