Picked up my 1001 Tuesday. (ordered 5/25)
Not much time; but - WOW;
1) Throw out the power rating.
As I suspected - they're somewhat meaningless for comparison (and my 800RB never suffered from lack of power back in the day)
It holds its own against my other heads; all the power I'll need.
2) It's Big! But just fits on my modern 12 cabs.
3) I run mine mostly flat, depending on the cab (right now, my SL212 or 2xDG112s)
I likely won't use the drive, contour, presence or any of the left side stuff....
4) I'm not looking to replace any of my current amps - I'm just looking for "different flavors" (and always regretted parting with my 800RB in the mid 90s.)
I can't trust my memories; but this seems to give that 800 vibe - but with a lot more "authority"/"weight".
The Sisma has been my current favorite, and I still prefer it. But- I'm not looking for a "better" amp - just different character - and the 1001 seems the one amp that can get in the Sisma neighborhood for "heft".
I came close, but never pulled the trigger on a DB751, nor have I played one - so I find the comments above "interesting".

Those don't say what their F3/6/10 points are, and I can't find information on the NEO IV specs. Your best bet is to try them in person if possible. If not, perhaps contacting GK directly can give you more insight.
Numbers tell a small part of the story, but seeing as we don't have all of the specifics from GK that really won't help all too much. It's going to be a guessing game until you try them for yourself.
If you prefer ceramic/ferrite then perhaps you should stick with that. I don't think the magnet type is what is going to give you the low end though. It's more about the complete driver design and how the cabinet is engineered with them in mind.
I want to do some heavy ABing with other amps before saying more, but my first impressions are totally positive and agree with what others have said: authority, beauty, and zero hiss.
I've had a 1001 for about 3 weeks now and I'm loving it. It's my first amp head and I'm using the DI cabsim out for headphone practice when I'm at home; the growl I get on the B string when the boost circuit is engaged is crazy sounding! I guess I'm finally hearing what people call the "GK Growl", and I love it! It's also super responsive, way more than the preamp pedal I was running direct before, which makes playing a lot of fun. Maybe the feel has something to do with the Class H power, I don't know, but whatever it is, it's a joy to play through!
Recently returned my new Legacy 1001RB (GC) for the larger Legacy 2001RB (SW)… For sure, no complaints with the 1001…but thought I’d try “duo mono” into a pair of separated (4 ohm) Bergantino NV312T cab’s—it works fabulously—very dynamic/lively, spatial presence, with prodigious note-weight …and “seamlessly” part of my house decor. ; )
fyi—I’m using a 3ru rack case from TF (designed for their 3K amp)…a sturdy, lightweight (15” deep) wood case, with venting on both sides.
I moved the case rack rails further back, so the chrome amp rails protrude only slightly from the case front, to reduce the chance of liquid spillage on the amp itself. Still a perfect depth in the rear of case, with the rubber amp feet protruding 1/4” from case.

It's been over a month since first user posted confirmation of receipt.
Other than GK's official demo, I have yet to see a single review/demo video on TB, YT, Sweetwater, or anywhere else online. Seems kinda weird, and not a great marketing push after all the delays.
Thought someone would post a detailed comparison with the previous 1001 RB-II and/or a Legacy 800 by now.

Dogstar (Keanu Reeves on bass) has been using it for a bit now. You can hear a studio/mastered tone from their music. Not saying that's a plethora of information, but it's something.
As far as more demos of it, I agree it would be nice to have more. I'm betting the amount of people who actually have one currently is rather small. Of those people, how many have the 1001 RB-II or Legacy 800 for comparison? And of those, how many are inclined to spend time making a video of it?
I'm playing devil's advocate above. I'd prefer more demos and playing for us to hear as well. I've already ordered one, but it's still "Status: Waiting for Items" under my order history at Sweetwater. I think the pool of people with the new 1001/2001 are on the smaller end compared to larger manufacturers.
For marketing I agree, it's not doing them any favors. Especially after the delays in getting these amps out to people. I do think GK's official demo is quite good for tonal range expectations, but coming from the manufacturer it should likely be taken with a grain of salt. We all run different basses/cabs, have different playing styles, listen through different speakers/headphones...
Even when I get mine, I don't plan to make any videos about it. I have a general idea of what to expect with an amp from GK, and don't think I'd do it any great justice with my at home recording options. I'll simply know if it fits my wants, or if it doesn't.
Are you on the fence about getting one, and are wanting to hear more reviews of it? Or simply curious?
I'm pretty content with my 700 RB-II, so call me curious for now. There's a general marketing "playbook" for new product launches - getting demo models in the hands of gear reviewers, online content creators, etc. GK has generally followed for their last couple of amps & seems to be ignoring it this time (so far). I find that odd a month after they started appearing in the wild.
It does seem less than ideal for marketing purposes in my very limited experience on the subject. I can only speculate/assume on why they are doing this. Perhaps they are waiting until they have better stock availability before marketing an item that can't be bought and shipped right now. Or maybe they don't want to make and sell a lot of units, and know those who are interested will buy it regardless of demos. More of a niche product for a very limited consumer base kind of thing. If that's the case, I hope this isn't a sign of them exiting the market soon and putting out a few last-hoorah items.
I'm with you in hoping there are those who DO have the unit who will make a video/demo, but I am also a hypocrite seeing as I already stated I have no intentions of making a demo myself whenever I do receive my amp.
All possibilities. I have no idea how many units have been sold or what their production schedule looks like, sure would be nice to hear something about that straight from GK. They have a special spot in my heart as one of very few remaining made/assembled in USA bass amp companies that hasn't been gobbled up by the huge corporations, but still large enough to put things out at scale (vs tiny niche boutique builders). Bob was active on TB for many years and I had very positive experiences getting support the few times I needed it.
Agreed, it would be nice to hear more from GK directly on this. I don't know if I should expect my new amp after 2 months, or another year+. I didn't need the amp, so going into my purchase it didn't really matter. I still trust the company will make and ship it out at some point. It still errs on the side of unfortunate as far as transparency goes, though.
I'm glad they haven't sold to a larger company as well. I don't care where it's made personally. I get good and bad products from companies that are or are not US based/made/assembled. The main difference I see is in price, and what I care about more is the ethical practices employed regardless of location. For those that do care about US made/assembled, I see how it's a positive for them when buying from GK.

So, Kev (or anyone else!). Where did you find rack screws long enough to secure the RB Legacy? My 3/4" Gator rack screws are not long enough, and it is surprisingly frustrating to find anyone online who sells 1" long black 10-32 rack screws.
Edit: finally found some on Amazon using the "screw/bolt specification tool," or whatever it is. Had to drop the "rack screws" part of the search.
