Correct and only the new generation GK MB amps have the “chain out” for use with the new GK MBP power cabinets - not the older generation MB amps.

Interesting. I had a much easier time getting the Streamliner to sound like the MB800 than the other way around.

My MB800 is gone now but I'd love to pick up an MB Fusion 800 at some point. And I gigged the hell out of a 1001RB-II for quite a few years.

One of the only nice things about teaching in Stockton for years was that I could drive over to the GK factory if I had questions or issues with my amp, which I only did twice in all the time I had it. And both times it got fixed within a day or two. Contrast that with another amp I had (which shall remain nameless) which was sent overseas twice for repairs and after six months STILL wasn't fixed.

I don't currently own a GK amp, but I will always be a fan/supporter.

I bought Jared's MB800 (excellent TBer to do business with, btw) to replace my 1001RB-II and it has been a solid performer. It pretty much nails the sound of the RB in a ridiculously compact package (with some very slight nuances, and of course, the RB has an advantage in terms of 'tweakability'). Being my first Micro, I had to get used to the whole size/power thing.

Oddly enough, I wasn't much into GK in my early days as a bass player. Then I got my RB, and became a convert.

Yes but most cabs have two and you can daisy chain right through. Like most amps, the MB200 will take anything down to 4 ohm load, so 2x8 ohm cabs would work just fine.

GK provides tools. For any situation. So... I am getting just old enough that I like lite. So my GK possibilities are: Small room: MB210 combo. Medium room: MB210 combo with MBE210 extension. Larger room, outside, or just 'because': Could still go MB210 combo with either MBE210 or MBE115, or break out the 700RB-II with MBE210 and MBE115. All of the configurations sound awesome.

GK is awesome,thats all I use and have for the last 23 years,I still gig with my 400 RB that I purchased in 1990,but now its my back up as I am now gigging with my new MB 112 II and MBP 112 II powered cabinet,its awesome and 400 watts of GK thump I cant believe the sound that comes out of this rig...
