Number Please. GK 412 and a GK 2001RBP Preamp. If any one cares the rest of it is a Carvin DCM1500 Poweramp, cased in a Gator 3 space rack. The Mini stack is an Ashdown Superfly and a Carvin 210. The 2 combos are a Fender Rumble 15 and a Behringer Ultrabass. Also there is a Boss Bass Overdrive pedal (no longer used live), a GK footswitch, and a little tuner. The guitars behind it are a Ibanez GSR200, a Dean Metalman ML, and an Ibanez Artwood Series Acoustic.

Hello people, I think the official club is the right place to ask some GK questions...

Currently i have a Markbass 210 combo that i thought I liked, but in the summer i played a festival with a GK 800RB and what I think was a GK 410RBH cab. This setup blew me away and I pretty much knew right away I wanted to get that sound no matter what.

Soo, now I got the 700RB II in my sights, of which i heard it was like the 800RB in regards to tone but with some more power, is this true?

Regarding cabs: A 410 is too big for me and also in regards to playing w/o PA support i'd like the drivers aligned vertically for more even off-axis dispersion. Also regarding price, the Neo line of cabs draw some appeal and I am eyeballing the Neo 212.

What type of cab will get met closest to the 800RB w/ 410RBH sound I'm going for?

Thanks in advance.

Hello, everyone.

Yesterday I bought a GK 1001 RB-II and a second after playing its first note, it stopped working and smoke started coming out of the bottom cab.

Both are dead now.

If you could drop by my thread about the incident and shine some light, I'd be tremendously thankful!

*here's the link*

Thanks again.

Little question for all the Krueger-addicts here:

Say you have a 1001 RB-II, which has 2 speakon outputs.

Having 2 cabs at 8Ohm each, would you connect each one to an individual output, or the first one to one of the outputs and then connect both cabs in parallel?

Would there be any problem with the parallel connection?

I'm still trying to understand what failed the day I turned my GK on for the first time.

Peace!

HOLY..........I dont get jealous.............but I am

That Kills

Thanks :) I'm certainly a happy camper. This rig has given me a huge grin since owning it, I played its first gig the other night with the Neo cabs, and with volume around 10 o'clock, boost at midday, and master at about 8 o'clock it was massive...

Before people jump in and tell me it runs better how GK advice (master at midday or above etc), i've found running it this way gives me a nice phat tone, with a touch of edge, and the tone doesn't change as much with different volumes, as it did when i used the pre amp volume to control levels...

No argument from me. That's the way I run my G-K's and have never heard cold or sterile sound from them.
