Gamma bass

Does anyone have much experience with Gamma basses? Do they have longevity? Versatility?
They resemble Fender's Jazz and Precision, does their quality rival the American Fenders? What about resale value?

Lotta hate for them, but so what, have you checked out what people say about Fenders?
Here's mine. One of the nicer P basses I've owned or played. Very nice neck, not too heavy, plenty of variation using the tone control...unlike some P basses I've played.

Would I buy another?
Sure!

Resale value isn't very good, though...you can't expect the average Guitar Center or Sam Ash salesman to give you 1/3 of the original price, even though they sell some questionable stuff, and the average Fender fans have a hard enough time even buying Squiers.
Just realize you'd be better off keeping a Bacchus than selling it.
Might be a backup to your regular P or J, but you might find yourself grabbing it every day.
Of course, you can always have Warmoth build a bass for you for more money and get half what you spent if you sell it, or buy a Glarry bass for $100 and spend another $300 on a neck and $100/$200 for a good pickup or two.

I owned a couple I bought used. I think they’re about on par with a nice Squier. They’re expensive and unremarkable parts basses, in my opinion.

I do think that if you're trying to sell your brand's instruments for over $1,000, you shouldn't get to use "only" in front of the price in your ads anymore.
"ONLY" $1500 for a p-bass copy? C'mon now.

They are from NJ. I have heard from a reliable source that they are essentially Chinese parts basses assembled in the US. YMMV

Here's my pink Gamma P I use mainly for cancer benefits (because eff cancer). It's got GZRs, Hipshot Detuner, and Dunlop Straplocks. Brings the thunder, weighs less than 8 lbs, and holds a setup like grim death. Love it.

Lots of options at that price point if you don’t want a Fender. Many here like the Japanese made Baccus basses.

From what I understand they're assembled parts basses, he's not really a luthier. I wouldn't pay the brand new price for one. A lot better options than that imo.

My experience is that mine sounded just fine, but I thought the components, except for the pickup, were somewhat questionable. The one I had was a tad overpriced, and I took a small bath when I traded it to a friend who just LOVED it. They are not without merit, but mine felt a little too cheap for my liking. It WAS, however, light as a feather (pawlonia).

I puchased a Gamma P-Bass. & sold it later. I loved the color & finish on the body stain. Not happy with build quality or neck finish. Pups were good, sounded good, just didn't like the fit & finish. I guess you could say, a Mexican or Japanese Fender is miles higher than it in the fit/finish department and you pay the same $. Maybe I just got a bad one. The G string was nearly off the fretboard. The nut cut my finger it was so sharp on the G side, and the frets were not really flush. Just my experience.

I owned a Gamma jazz bass 5 string. I bought it online site unseen and it had some issues. The pickup routs were off center, the neck (chunky) was mounted wrong and was re-drilled and re-mounted with a gap that was covered up by the pick guard.
The passive pickups had noise....not a 60Hz or 120Hz hum,
but white noise. I didn't hear it too much in an amp. But, it was revealed in headphones.
After replacing the pots (CTS), pickups (Aguilar 5SD-D2) and installing a Fender bridge it was an OK bass.
Turns out I'm not a five string player after all.
