Hey guys I am just curious about the front DI output on the lh1000. In the manual it says it is the signal before eq. But it is before the tube or after it??? Thanks.

Just read the manual and it doesn't say. But my guess since it's pre-EQ only is that the tube doesn't go through the DI. However, I could be wrong. Hopefully Larry will be along in a bit to tell us the straight poop, but since his new store is having a grand opening this week, he may be a little busy for TB. The best thing to do would be to email them and ask.
I had an interesting experience with the DI at the last show. I always run the di. to FOH from my boss gt6b. (I think the less things in the chain the better the signal is for the soundman) but the backline guys took the signal from the lh1000 front panel this time, it was ok but when I took it from the boss then it started buzzing. An external di box solved the problem (I always have one with me) long story short, the di on the head is lifted and pre tube. Am I right?
If it is like any other single tube Harte or other single tube design I have seen, yes. The tube sits in about the middle of the SS signal chain before the tone stack but way after the DI.
Yes, The only way to discover this is that the next time in the studio I will send a di from the boss and the di from the head and measure the signal to noise ratio on each channel...
