First saw a partial pic of one of these back in the 70's on a Mel Bay or some bass instruction book. I was wowed by the Fender-like pickups and the cool plastic pickguard with the grille on it. What was it!?! No Internet to Google the thing. This was back in the day when you couldn't tell that electric guitars were made out of wood. It just looked so plasticky and smooth!! It looked like it could do things beyond what a regular bass could do. Would love one in red, just to hang on the wall and stare at.
Any of you lucky enough to own one?
