Cool one active and one passive Jazz
I would be happy with that
(in fact I have one passive type Jazz bass and one active)
both cover a lot of ground so I can see how that can fulfill dreams

Meh sometimes we can be fortunate that our dream bass or rigs are items that
can easily be purchased (or later sold and with some guilt REpurchased)
thats the difference between having a dream bass that is manufactured in spades
over a custom one of a kind intrument (like a one off Ritter) you may never
be able to get it back after selling or purchase anything similar
I call that insurance but what can I say my dream bass was a run of the mill
US Fender Jazz which I was fortunate enough to buy as my first bass after saving and saving

I have owned her since 1997 and I am not getting rid of it anytime soon (or ever)

IMO the Marcus is WAY sweeter than the Geddy.

The Miller just SINGS! You can feel the sustain in your toes, not to mention looking way sweeter.

I had never even heard of Marcus Miller until I picked up that bass at GC!!
I love Rush, but the Miller in my opinion puts the Geddy to shame.

But the others were right, there is NO end to gas, all you can do is fart to relieve the pressure.

Although i agree to a degree id say that buying run of the mill basses is conformity. That is of course unless someone tries a ton of basses and decides something like that is perfect. I suppose there has to be poeple with less of an imagination out there so it makes sense. I didnt mean anything by what i said in my post, i was just surprised.

Both of those are great basses and i wasnt trying to take away from that.

Nice basses. Im amazed that such run of the mill instruments can qualify as someones dream bass though. lol

i can see how having a jazz bass (or two) could easily qualify as someone's 'dream bass(es)', since IMO, they're one of the best basses of all time.
