Yeah, a bad trade is not the employee's fault. It"s not even GC's fault. It's economics. We aren't buying the gear to have, we're buying it to A)sell, and B)give the customer another form of payment. If you are just selling gear outright, going to GC is a horrible idea, unless you are strapped for cash. If you are going to buy something, a trade is a good idea because usually the salesman will discount what you are buying on top of the trade in order for you to get it. It's not GC's fault. If you want 300 for something and the avg price on ebay is 300, it isn't going to happen, because that is what GC wants to sell it for also. One bad experience is a horrible reason for hating an entire chain of stores, let alone the nation's biggest music retailer. Remember if you think you are sticking it to GC by going to Musiciansfriend, GC owns Musiciansfriend. You're really only taking a GC salesman's commission and giving that to GC, the corporation, to split with Musiciansfriend, the corporation, not an individual.
