Been busting my arse practicing at home and paying for lessons once a week, as I want to sing, play and gig again.

I've also had a crack at Hey Joe- Hendrix
Where Is My Mind, Hey- Pixies
I Am The Highway- Audioslave..
I'm taking it very slow as singing whilst playing at times I'd rather confusing.
Glad I stumbled across talkbass, looking forward to furthering my very limited knowledge.

Have you decided to play with a pick or your fingers? Either way is totally legit, some of the greatest bassists used picks. Just curious because there is a great finger technique called the floating thumb that I recommend people to develop if they want to use their fingers to pluck.

I still like to use a pick sometimes because it can be just the right tonal quality for some songs.

Cool name!!

That's a good idea, it only makes you a more versatile player.

I like to use the technique that fits the song (ha...I really just do what's easiest for the song!)
I revert to the comfort of a plectrum (picks are for digging) if it gets too difficult!
How's the weather where you are?.. it's almost too humid to hold a plectrum here!!
