I taught myself bass about 5 years ago with a borrowed cheap bass.
Went and bought my own when the local music shop had a sale and I figured I was going to keep playing. I've never had a lesson and I probably should have ages ago as my left hand technique isn't great. But it's good enough for playing with a church band every week or so.
Recently purchased my own amp which is overkill for my needs, but I'm enjoying the tone of the Trace.
My dream list would be a 5 string, accoustic bass and a Trace Elliot GP12 SMX combo.
Realistically I need none of those and I've got too many hobbies already.
But I can always dream...
