I have a Roland RD-2000 and it is hooked up to two Yamaha HS-8's. My Bass sits next to it and I want to bring my computer in that I have a bunch of songs on minus Bass lines. I want to play them thru the Yamaha HS-8's and play along with my Bass. How do I connect them?

I take the 1/8" headphone output from my computer to whatever input I have available.

It looks like your RD-2000 has an 1/4" L/Mono input available that should work.

A 1/8" to 1/4" cable or 1/8" to 1/8" (with adaptor) cable would connect them.

Be sure the computer volume is set to zero when you start.

Yes, but then I would have to disconnect the computer when I want to play the piano. I want to have everything seamless, no connecting and disconnecting. If I need an interface so be it.

There are both analog and digital audio inputs on the RD-2000, according to the manual. Consult that for useage tips. Look for (E) USB Computer Port or (H) INPUT Jack on page 10.
