Wish I still had mine, along with the Fender Bassman and '65 Jazz Bass.

I wouldn't say "lust" necessarily, but I've always wanted to get my hands on an Ampeg Scrolltop, an Ovation Magnum II and a Wal bass. Here they are being played by some outstanding bassists: Rick Danko, Jah Wobble and Colin Moulding.

way back when I 1st started up grading my All Black JBS I wanted a Moses Graphite neck. I thought it would be better overall instead of painting one black, the JBS originally had black painted back Neck!I never was able to acquire 1 at a reasonable price. Yeah it was just for looks & cause flea played graphite necks! I thought a black Carbon fiber neck would look awesome, but after more research It seemed like A big hassle (redrilling, tapping inserts, & extra $$ didnt seem worth it! plus they were almost impossible to find! & cost more than a Warmoth custom neck. I decided to save up for a warmoth instead.Just wondering what basses or other bass related gear you gassed for over the years but could never find at least at an affordable price. There have been a few for me over the last 10 or 15 years. Prices have risen on some things such that I just wouldn't buy today even if I still wanted it. For most the lust for these has come and gone and I have moved on (its not a wanted ad)
- Warwick Stage 2 4 string - These are few and far between but have gotten more expensive over the years. I found one up here in Canada but it was $4k. I bought a Streamer LX instead
- Modulus Funk Unlimited/Flea - even ran a wanted ad and found a couple of sellers who both backed out. I built a Sterling Ray 34 with a graphite neck and Lane Poor copy pup....didn't sound the same
- Ampeg B15 - the prices have risen on these too
- Audiokinesis cab - ordered one and waited over a year and eventually bought a Subway 115 instead which did the trick
Not everyone loves everything, I guess. I had the use of one for a couple of weeks back in the day, and I've been on the hunt ever since. Of course I only ever find one when I can't get it.Steinberger XL5W.
I have 2. I don't recall them being that exceptional.
They're in my store. Do you want me to see if they're 120V compatible and sell one to you? I'm cleaning out a lot of gear to move to my old home and I'll never use them again. Not everyone loves everything, I guess. had the chance to buy one for only $1,750 several years ago & stupidly passed:
As I'm off work... and it's The Festives... and I'm as flat broke as I've ever been... see? When I can't, there they are. lol. They're in my store. I'm not in any hurry and as they won't fetch a huge amount are well down on the list (plus they're store in a rack at the rear of my very crowded storage unit). I hope you get work soon, and if you do and have a few shekels spare PM me.As I'm off work... and it's The Festives... and I'm as flat broke as I've ever been... see? I’m not familiar with the “Rumble.”Do you still have the Rumble? What did you think of it?
