Gear you swear by

I currently use an Eden WT550 with an Accugroove TRI210L and love it. In the 80's I played an Orange OR 120 head (a guitar amp) with an Orange bass cabinet with 2-15". I was changing the fuses often on this thing but man did it had a growl to it

In General for proven dependability: ( not including sound quality)... Older Peavey powered mixers! (I've used these as bass amps a few times in emergencies) , SWR WorkingMan Line of cabs and Solid State Amps, Ampeg BA-115 combo (for best one-stop solution - although SWR Workingmans 15 combo is a close second)

And for best sound plus dependability: GK RB heads
Crown MacroTech & Yamaha P Series Power Amps. (expensive and heavy - but these are the only power amps that have never, ever gone out on me, gotten even a little noisy, or overheated etc... - and they handle 2 ohms - power two Ampeg Fridges with just one of these- way more reliable than ampeg amps in my experience.) 90's SWR and Eden 4x10 Cabs,
