I know you're just being silly, but did you actually read RAM's post above about how Geddy gets the sound he uses on that particular tune? It's pickstyle technique without using a pick.

Of course not...Why should he be any different than anybody else LOL
I've gotten to the point, myself, where the up-and-down plucking motion with one finger ain't so bad...but Ged's got this weird nail that broke off when he was a kid. Apparently, when it grew back, it was like wood! Just based on that fact alone, I'll never be able to get his tone, especially without using a pick on that song
Just a side note....Don't ever take fake books, or tab books, or music store transcriptions that seriously. I've known a lot of guys who worked for Hal Leonard Publishing, and they were paid for the quantity, not the quality, of their work. Accuracy was not necessarily a priority.
Always use your ear. It's the best friend you can have.
