What are you doing in the Rush off-season to preserve your voice for the next album or tour?

I don't do anything. I don't sing at all. I have been playing more this break than I've ever played in the off time, both bass and a lot of guitar. I'm really into collecting some of these old instruments and they're firing me up. I've spent a lot of time in my studio or in front of a ballgame playing a bass.

Oh please tell me he's bringing the Ric back out for another spin...

I kind of want Rush to go all instrumental for the next album, since his voice is giving way. And if any band could pull off an instrumental set without boring the audience Rush is it. I've never seen a crowd go wild for instrumentals the way they do for YYZ and La Villa Strangiato...

Yeah, Chemistry is a great forgotten gem of a song, for me it's the best of the 80s sound. And that bass tone...oh yes...

I never really got into the band RUSH at the time but recently watch the Bio-Pic RUSH on NetFlix.
If you haven't seen it I highly recommend watching it. It's a really well made documentary of the band.
What an amazing band and Geddy Lee, in my opinion, is one super cool dude.
