Ditto. Sounds like a great Christmas present, for someone who's been extremely nice all this year.
I’m trying to talk a friend into flying up to Montreal to see the date there. There’s nothing in the US southeast, so I’d have to fly regardless. I can’t find any info on ticket prices for that show since they aren’t on sale yet.
I saw the talking tour for the first book, and the price included the hardcover book with the personalized autograph at the end. I don’t think he’s signing these, which makes it a bit less desirable for the money.
My friend can't make the trip to Montreal (or anywhere else) right now, so I guess I'll be waiting for Geddy to add more US dates. He came to Atlanta for the last book, so fingers crossed that he returns.
I don’t think I would spend that much to hear my favorite bassist talk. I see the book is $36 in hardcover. If he is traveling with a bunch of books, that would pretty heavy, possibly as much as band carrying its equipment, and that would be a considerable cost. I think a tour of bookstores that carry the book would be more to my taste unless he is carrying his bass for the bigger tour and plays a song or two.

Yeah, hard to say what it’s going to be like but would be cool if he played a little. When he did the tour for BBB he hit bookstores, but seems to be following the lead of Bono, Bruce, etc in doing this kind of thing instead. They even have Official Platinum tickets for it, last I looked was over $700 for front row center for the Detroit appearance.
Yup. I was thinking of going until I saw the price for tickets. And per usual, Tickmaster bought up all the cheaper priced seats so there not much let that is affordable to me.

The book is included with the ticket but I can get the book separately (if I wanted one, probably not).Ok, if it included the book then the price is fair. Cool! Geddy up.
I love Geddy, but not really interested in paying ~$200 x 2 (wife) to see essentially a 60 Minutes interview and him reading from his book. If he played bass even a little, I'd probably be there.
