Geddy podcast

i must be missing the multiple threads about Geddy Lee’s activities promoting his new book about the history of the bass. It’s inconceivable that this is not an area of enormous interest on this forum. In any case, I do recommend Geddy’s interview on Brian Koppleman’s podcast “The moment”. He has some very interesting bass- oriented things to say.

What I want to hear out of him is some music. Doesn’t have to be Rush. His solo album was just fine. He needs to get to work and deliver some tunes.

I already know far more about the history and variety of bass guitar than is good for me.

He actually kind of addresses that in the podcast, how he is taking time to figure out his next move musically. Here's a link: The Moment with Brian Koppelman

Seriously. Reportedly Alex has been doing a little session work for other bands, but I'd like to see the two of them do something new, preferably teamed up with some newer, younger cats to do something different from Rush. There are some killer young drummers out there, and it'd be cool to see Alex dueled up with another guitarist.

I just stood next to Geddy at the San Francisco airport baggage claim. Not sure if he was travelling for business or pleasure. He was travelling with his wife so I didn't say anything to him. Not sure if anyone else knew who he was. If they did they didn't indicate it. Hopefully he's working on something new. San Francisco has a strong music community.
