Geedy's New CS Jazz

Just curious...what is the symbol on this bass? He had the 'amalgamation' symbol on his Time Machine bass.
The symbol was done by an artis, that has done the pickguard on his black bass as well. I don't know the meaning behind the symbol.
As for the specs they are the same as what is on his signature model, just a custom color and pearl blocks as opposed to the black blocks.

I really dont like matching headstocks with a maple fretboard. Other then that I like it. I would be scared giving a bass to Geddy , I would think he is pretty pikcy about what he plays.
Yeah, I was pretty nervous about what his reaction would be to the bass. He must like it though because he is using it live!

I did a little research and found that this is another alchemy symbol, this one meaning 'borax'. Not sure what it is supposed to mean for Geddy, the bass, the band, etc, but it's cool nonetheless.

same as found on the signature model. 70s jazz pickups. Only difference is they are handwound by the queen of tone Abby Ybarra!
I'm sure he's extremely discriminating when it comes right down to it.
When I saw his red CS, I loved the simplicity and elegant style and I had to have one, but I didn't want an exact copy nor did I want to spend that much money.
So what I did was send my GL to Pat Wilkins to have the pickguard removed, completely refinished in a very dark red and had an Audere preamp installed.

Slight detour but do you know how much of a difference there is between the original MIJ Geddy Lee Jazz (the one based off his Kalamazoo pawn shop bass) and the ones he actually plays on stage? Mine is an early production, 97 or 98. By the way I love the new bass you built for him. That thing is beautiful!!!
