Geedy's New CS Jazz

He played a Sunburst jazz in Baltimore, tonight. Tortoise shell pick guard, maple neck, blocked and I assume bound. Looked like it had a Badass. The white one and the green one also made an appearance or two. BTW, Geddy was sporting a Orioles T-Shirt in the first set.

Sacrilege; he's a Jays fan through and through! Although, especially considering the hype around them this year, there hasn't been all that much to cheer for...

Hmmm... if he's doing local teams I'll be interested to see if he wears a Yankees or (shudder) Red Sox shirt when they play here in CT on Thursday night.

I'm looking forward to seeing and hopefully hearing the new white bass. The sound at Mohegan Sun has traditionally been pretty bad. But when I saw them in Bridgeport on the earlier leg I have to say the green one sounded pretty darn good.

HI Jason,

I was just curious, if you are building the new Geddy CS bass just introduced (today? Or the last couple days). That's a sweet looking bass!

Also, it mentions oil necks; what oil is going on the back of the neck?

Thanks in advance! :bassist:
Sean

I made the prototype for the new bass, but the production ones will be Custom Shop teambuilt. The back of the neck finish is a combination of sanding the wood to a very fine grit such as a 1000 grit sandpaper and coating it with a furniture oil.
