Has anyone tried these clamps yet? I was shopping to add to my collection of Herdims and this peaked my curiosity. I know the herdim clamps will last for-friggin-ever but will these stand the test of time?

Double Bass Gemini Clamps

I fooled around with them at last year's VSA and thought they were flimsy for my taste. Nicely made, though, and very light.
That's what I was kinda afraid of. I have a number of different clamps that are designed for the same purpose but never use them. I always reach for my Herdims. I think I'll probably just stick to ordering more of those..
I checked them out at the Guild of American Luthiers Convention in Seattle this summer and my impression was similar to Arnold's. They had a whole booth full of interesting items, but nothing I had to go home with.
