if someone has an interview or pics of something other than what i have seen being used i would like to see and read it . if it didnt come from gene or spherro (cant spell his name) then its still no better than what we are doin right now ......

Hey Rockstar - always a rare pleasure to have a Kiss insider on Talkbass! Gene was on the cover of a bass magazine a few years back - I think it was Bass Guitar & I'll try to find it. There was a section on his stage setup & that's what I remember reading- I'll try to find it. Maybe he changed his rig a bit after the tour you were on.

there use to be a website a guy put together listing info and pics of all of genes basses and the transition from one to another . very very good info . i looked for it again , but cant seem to find it again .... if someone finds it please post a link . it was like "gene simmons basses through the years" ....

After watching the Gene Simmons video, I watched Geddy Lees solo. I came to the conclusion that Gene is an entertainer, Geddy is a musician. Though his bass playing sucks, he is very entertaining and takes himself way too serrious.

So many people come in to these type threads and either act like they know it all, or just bash whoever it's about. I've noticed that many of those folks have no real world experience behind what they say. I think people generally use the word "Troll" as a descriptor.

The Classic Metal Show: From looking over your catalog of music, the one release that really stuck out to me was KISS "Alive III". What did you do on that one?

Sherinian: On the KISS tour, I was the off stage keyboardist. As you know, KISS doesn't have a keyboardist. My main function was to double Paul Stanley's parts, his rhythm guitar parts, with a guitar sounding keyboard patch. You know… Paul's a great performer and he's running around stage a lot, so I was reinforcing him there. I was singing background vocals, and I was triggering samples and sound effects.
