General purpose round-wound suggestions needed

When I got a set of TI Jazz Rounds, string experimenting ended for me.

They sound and feel exceptional, and they’re long-lasting, so worth the cost. (My set is still going strong at 8 months old with an hour or so of daily play.)
'94 Gretsch G6119B.JPG I recently put a set of them on my '94 Gretsch Broadkaster. Mainly because I'd bought the Jazz Rounds by mistake (thought I was buying Jazz Flats); the 'Kaster was the only bass they would fit - that needed new strings; and, in the hope that maybe they wouldn't sound like crap - like every other string I'd tried on the stupid thing. And... surprise, surprise! They not only don't sound bad; they sound Great. And, yes, for rounds, they do feel exceptional. They have joined the very exclusive handful - a tiny handful - of rounds that I like and use. And, as an added bonus; the dark green silk makes "Big Orange" here, look even more like a carrot...

Please report back on how they do for you in terms of longevity.
So, I "owe" you some reporting back on the Bassics and how they hold up! As far as I can tell, I couldn't see any major/rapid decline in sound over the past 5 months (or, really any decline worth noting). That said, I haven't played them a whole lot. This has nothing to do with the strings, and all with the bass, which I never warmed up to... And, so I sold that bass last week, and thus can't report anymore on the strings longevity. However, the buyer didn't think they sounded flat or anything and said he was gonna leave them on the bass for now. He liked the fact that they had "custom" gauges (44-106).

Overall, I felt they are nice strings and I will certainly try another set soon on one of my other basses.

Thanks again for recommending them!

Thanks for the report back.

My P bass has been wearing the Bassics 40-102 for the last 4 wks and they have settled into their "nicely worn-in" phase. So, it's a question of how long they will stay this way, and my intention is to keep them on till they're worn out.
