General Question regarding 1Spot adapter and 9V batteries

Hey all,

I just got a 1Spot multi-plug cable for all of my effects pedals. I was wondering -

I still have 9Volt batteries in all of them in the off chance that I need to use one without a secondary power source.

If I have the 1Spot plugged into the pedals, will the pedal still drain the 9Volt batteries or will it only use the electrical power?

Thanks in advance for any help!

The batteries won't get drained. The DC jack contains a small switch that "opens" when you plug in the 1Spot (or any other DC adapter plug). When the switch opens, it breaks contact between one of the battery terminals and the rest of the circuit, so no power is drawn from the battery.
