Genz benz amp

I'd plug it all in, turn it on, hold out an open string, and just start turning dials all the way back and forth slowly. Make sure they all work, but also listen for dirty pots or any other issues. IMO if it passes that test I'd go for it.

This BUT, I wouldn't let "Scratchy Pots" stop the deal. I had a Shuttle 6 that I bought used, If it sat around for a while, the pots got a little scratchy. All I had to do was turn em up and down a few times, and the 'scratchys' went away. Wasn't nearly bad enough to send it to be fixed. I used it for 12 years AFTER buying it Used, with the occasional scratchys. (Now, I don't know if they actually get worse over time, or bad enough to 'effect performance', mine never did, and it didn't get any worse than the lil scratchyness from day one.)

YMMV, IMO.. etc..

Sounds like a Killer Deal, so be sure and test it out. :cigar:

They can get way worse when somebody cleans them improperly (requiring new pots to be installed), plus cause additional problems.

I thought I heard this, but mine never got worse after 12 or so years. For the record, I'd like to point out that I did not spray anything into the pots myself. I absolutely 'thought" about it, and after hearing/ (reading on TB) how bad it potentially was, I'm glad I didn't. :cigar:

Not sure what the Previous feller did (or didn't) do to it. 🤔

I'm still using my 6.2 bought new with no issues, with my 6.0 as backup. Great amp. Buy with confidence.
