Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0 - 8T Combo

Kickback on 8T fixed

I like mine. I mostly use it for practice but I've taken it to a few open jams and school performances (not a pro here!)

The EQ is great and I think it will give you any sound you want. It's also really light and powerful for its size. I actually haven't tried the DI but if the reviews are anything to go by that's pretty good too. Get one, no, get two or three! and put all of them on your desk.

I bought the 3.0 8T five-six years ago, and about a year later was able to buy a 10t cab. also with the shuttle saddle built in.

What a GREAT little combo. I almost always use the 10T, but have kept the 8T for vacations or bedroom use.

I play a lot with singer/songwriters and light percussion, and the 10T does great in that context. Have used it with two guitars and drums, and worked fine in a small space and the drummer playing with restraint.

The cabinets are smartly voiced to the amp, and that little amp is a gem. In a pinch, I once used the head with a 4-ohm cabinet, and was very satisfied.

Let's see if either of the GB brain trust now develop a successor through their current endeavors. I don't think there has been anything on the market that is close to these combos, at their particular balance of performance quality, size/weight and price point - there is pricier stuff, like from AER, or heavier stuff, but these were unique. Congrats to the OP for scoring one.

another person who had the 3.0-8T for a while and loved it. I needed a bit more and couldn't justify keeping it for just practicing at home and so sold it. It is a killer tiny rig of doom and, as was said, add a second cab or plug the head into a larger 4 ohm cab and you have a rig that will work in just about any setting.

I'm now playing a shuttle 9.0 and wish it had the simpler front end without a tube of the 3.0.
