Genz Benz Shuttle Max 6 Cabinet Wiring

I am wanting to wire a cab to use with my Shuttle amp, the manual say wiring is +1-1 so I take it that they are the only terminals used out of the amp so, I need to connect the wires in the cable so that is is +1-1 between the amp and speakers. I have a Neutrik cable with 2 wires but they don't match up with the +1-1 on the female connectors, the male Neutriks are NL4FC and the female connectors have 4 spade terminals. Do I need to change the wires on the male plugs so that there is a +1-1 connection at both ends of the cable. Thanks in advance

The male are the panel mount that are on the cabinets and the female are on the cables.

For the standard connections, the two wires will connect to the 1+ and 1- terminals.

The only difference to this is when the amp is operated in bridge mode and has a special bridged out connector that's wired 1+ and 2+.

What speaker are you using? The amp can not be changed. There were a couple of oddball bass speakers that used 2+/2- as that was a configuration that is used in some pro audio biamped configurations.

Thanks for your reply, I am planning on using the amp for pedal steel, the speaker I have is a 300w 8ohm, made/voiced for pedal steel and is in a custom made cabinet that uses guitar jacks for speaker connection. The cable I have came made up and doesn't match the +1-1 configuration, I can change it relatively easy as I have female connectors that I can use to trial the change

If one end already has a SpeakOn plug, then all you have to do is change the wiring such that the tip goes to 1+ and the sleeve goes to 1-.

Do NOT tin the bare wire ends that go into the SpeakOn plug's binding screw terminals, and be sure there are no sloppy terminations that could cause a short circuit and damage the amp.

Do you have any thoughts on using the Max 6 for pedal steel, I like the fact that it has extensive eq capabilities. I am relatively new to PS, but I have seen that others use bass amps, this one appealed because of the parametric eq's available, I have yet to seriously try it

Should work fine, others have done the same. Either a reverb pedal going into the amp or a reverb unit that's capable of line level in the effects loop of the channel you are using (or the master loop) will give you a good workable solution IME.
