Has anybody tried this amp with double bass?
I'd love to hear how it works for country/folk/roots rock.
On the TH, my "Streamliner" settings are:Nice to hear the TH comparison. Im starting to use mine a little more and I really like it. I think im even going to be touring without a cab and just an amp/DI like the Tonehammer, because of space restrictions.
Haven't had a chance to do that yet, but I will.
I remember seeing someone here having done that....

Hi:
Before the Streamliners came out, many folks that had the Shuttle 6.0 upgraded to the Shuttle 9.0 to take advantage of 500 watts at 8 ohms and a different voicing that gave a heftier low end and a different midrange/treble voicing
I'm up for a Streamliner, the question is the 600 watt vs the 900 watt version. I have a Bergie HT112 EX112 mini stack, and play either one or two cabinets depending on the gig (Sadowsky 4 string bass)
Does the 600 watt version have the same tonality, just fewer watts, or is the 900 watt version the way to go for the deep low end?
Thanks in advance!
ElMon said:My settings have consistently been as follows:
Gain and Vol at 12 o'clock
Bass back to 10 o'clock
Mids boosted to 2 o'clock on the 220hz setting
Treble at Noon
Master Volume between 9-12 o'clock.
Every other tonal change I can get with my Sadowsky's pre. First time I've gigged a head that didn't have me wanting to quickly run back to my DB750. And the added lowmid kick and general mid freq flexibility puts it over the top.
I just got back from customs picking up my SL600.
In fact, none of the paperwork had been done at all, although the amp has been in customs for 6 days.
Luckily, my brother knew some people over there and made it possible I could pick it up after all.
Anyway, here's a pick with my db112 and the 2 basses I own right now.
I didn't get to play at all as my GF is working in the same room, right now.
This Thursday I'll be able to compare it to my SA200 thru a db212. Reporting back!!!
edit: no hole in the boxGreg/Rocket Music double boxed it!! Thanks
They are not pushing this kind of juice into a cab.
With OD on any amp/pedal, allways turn your tweeter off.
Regarding the use of dual speakon/quarter inch inputs, it's true that a speakon is a much better connection and is important at high output levels. However, with the icepower modules there are additional technical reasons for not using a quarter inch cable that are important for safety and reliability. I am unaware of it being off limits for audio products in general, which is why you may see the dual outputs on other amps.
