Hey, I've never noticed before, but it looks like there are triangles in the lower corners of your grill. Are those ports, or just shadows? I hate to say it, but I assumed they were ported, but when I got mine, I couldn't see ports anywhere, so assumed they were sealed. Well, on your picture it looks like it has ports like the mg cabs. What the heck.

If I were home I'd go look at them. I looked hard, and I could not see the ports on mine, yet I saw them for the first time in a picture. Weird. Thanks.
edit: A while back I went to the website and it said the 12" was ported, but didn't explicitly say the 10" was ported. It doesn't really matter, since it is what it is, but I feel better that it's ported, personally.

At this point, I'm almost convinced any Genzler amp/cabinet combination(s) can be considered 'the best setup'!

I don’t care (ported it sealed) one way or the other. As long as it sounds good to you why does it matter?
I can easily agree to that as all my 210-3 stacks, 12-3 stacks and now 10-2 stacks sound amazing. No matter the venue or room it easily gets a good tone.
Well, that's why I said it doesn't really matter. It's been doing the job. But at the same time, I also said I feel better about it being ported because I know ported enclosures are more efficient. I felt like it was loud for a 10" speaker, but if it was sealed, I would know it isn't. It's hard to know how loud things _really_ are.
I wonder why ported cabinets don’t have sliding/adjustable ports? I may want to use a enclosed cabinet or open the ports wider or something in between. Are port sizes limited to the cabinet/driver size? I guess I need to look over in the Cabinet Build thread for answers.

Audiokinesis ships with port pluggers so you can run it sealed, half open, full open. Not all speakers work well in both sealed and ported cabs, plus, I would think you'd be lucky to design a cab with even a couple good sounding tunings. Having it fully adjustable might only give you one good sound, which could be done without the adjustable port. But I don't actually know ;-)
I would imagine the science behind bass enclosure design is pretty much etched in wood.

All our cabs are ported designs. Grab the flashlight, they're there. I'll admit I'm one who has never been fond of sealed cabs. That's just me...
I like both. I had a Bergantino NV215 and I have your 12-3's which are just freaking amazing. They have their place but I'm like that. I'm generally not an "either or" kinda guy. I like Mustangs and Camaro's, Audi and BMW's, Harley's, sport and adventure bikes, Nikon and Canon cameras.

Well, I suspect it's official, I'm a proud owner of a 350 Combo to pair with my BA12-3 or run independently! I was wanting to get another BA12-3 SLT, but the 350 Combo will give me more options and more bang for the bucks over what an additional cabinet could.

Trace Elliot used to have pluggable “tuning ports” as well. But I think they just went between sealed and ported, not in between. I would imagine there’s a lot that goes onto port design. My understanding of the EA transmission line cabs is that they’re even more complicated...
NCD: Just picked up a Magellan 112T. I can't believe the output of this cab for it's size and weight. Played it side by side with my sons GK Neo112 and the Genzler is much smoother where as the GK has a definite spike in the high mids. It even competes nicely with my Eden 115T.
Anyway I have two questions:
1) Has anyone put rubber feet on the side opposite the handle? I'd like some protection when transporting and setting it down on pavement/concrete. Where's the safest placement and screw length?
2) I'd like to get a cover, but would again like it to have the open side be opposite the handle. I looked at LeCover but it is unclear if the opening is on the long side (current feet position) or the short side (opposite the handle). Any recommendations? Anybody get a cover in this orientation?
