I like both flavors! They have different tones. That Baer 115 is superb btw. Pair that with a ML-112 and it sounds very balanced. If anything, maybe let 1 of the 112's go.
But for the deeper low end the double BA12-3 setup is better. yup.

Just want to say I got to use my two 210 bass arrays this weekend. Rock show finally....well the clarity was getting rave reviews from the boys and the sound crew. Thanks Jeff. I landed on quality, now I need more quality gigs....
Received my, new to me, Shuttle 6.2... today!

I would crank contour a to 3/4 or more... almost a trace Elliot kind of tone.
that’s the first thing that came to mind. At high settings, that contour A gets pretty scoopy/slappy.

Yup, that’s it!!! Mine is very similar.
I had a few Genz Benz heads in the past and absolutely loved my GBE1200. I just recently pulled the trigger on a Magellan 800 after trying to find a lightweight head to replace the pre/power setup I was using. I am having a blast with the head and have been able to dial in some awesome tones with it. It just looks so small on my old stack..

I tried your settings but kept the bass at noon
The Bass and Treble change depending on stage and which bass I use.
Last show Bass was at noon and treble at 10:00. Especially with the full stack.
There is a lot of tone coming at you! But my contour stays at that 10:00 position.
I have that same Ampeg 15" on casters. One day, I'd like to put a BA-12-3 on top of it. Also a question for everyone. Can the BA 12-3 do everything that 15" can and still get that vintage fat round tone?
They're definitely on my list. I would love to get rid of these behemoths and get some full ranger, lighter cans. They're not without their nostalgic value, though -- we've been through a lot together -- so they may just live in the basement. The arrays are pretty lightweight, right?
The slt's "shipping weight" is 38lbs, the straight is 41 .... Yeah, it's light! I was about to say "yes it's light" and leave it at that but got curious as to the actual weight so I looked at the site. It's just unreal the contrast between today's gear and what we used to play on, or rather, had little choice but to play on. Mind boggling really.
It’s in the eye of the beholder but I play a passive P/J with flats with the tone dialed way back and I get vintage, or maybe vintage-enough for me. I also have contour B on my MG350 set at noon for that tone.
Conversely if I plug in an active bass and play around with contour & eq. I get some modern sizzle. Nothing like my old SWR rigs but I’m not looking for that any more. So for me it’s really that the cab is transparent and handles what you give it. If you give it vintage it sounds vintage, if you give it modern it sounds modern. I never have a situation like my old SWR’s where I want want to dial the tweeter back or turn it off to get a particular tone.
What's the tone profile of the Genzler Array 210-3? I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on one.

I guess I could add a few comments.
The BA210-3 design overall offers the low to low-mid punch you'd expect from a 10" based cabinet. Handles the fullness of a B-string with no issues. The Straight version will feel like it has a little more depth in the LF, but both the Straight and Slant versions handle the same frequencies. All of our SLANT cab designs tend to sound a little brighter with more clarity due to the geometry of the cabinet (less perpendicular interior angles than the Straight) and the fact that the baffle slants up to the player at 6% angle.
I've had the chance to compare this cab to other very highly regarded 2 x 10 and 3 x 10 cabs, and at approx 10 feet away the fullness and weight of each note really projects off the stage.
Frankly I don't feel that these cabs have a specific "tone profile" as they really produce what you give it with your instrument choice, amp, effects and playing style. With all the Bass Array designs that is the single most consistent response we seem to hear. "My instrument and tone only louder" would describe it.
